How to achieve Glowing Skin in time for Christmas!

Arghhhhh the year has whizzed by again and Christmas is fastly approaching!

If your skin needs some extra glow in time for Christmas you need this blog post in your life to help you regain the skin you want by Christmas. Sound like a plan? Great lets dive in..

Sleep! I'm trying to start with the easy one here. Sleep is one of the easiest ways to wake up glowing and with a spring in your step. For many of us, December sees us having more late nights than usual so for those nights where you are not busy socialising, make sure you get an early night. Aim for 7-9 hours for optimum glow!

Water! It's time to say no to that festive latte and yes to more water. (not as appealing I know!) Pretty much all of my clients are dehydrated to a certain extent, especially at this time of year with the cold weather and heating blasting everywhere. Dehydrated skin will always appear dull and more wrinkly and if we want to be glowing, we've got to get that water flowing!!

Exfoliate! The ultimate way to make your skin glow is by exfoliation. This should be done 1-2 times per week depending on the skin type and never more than that. As we age, our cell turnover rate decreases meaning exfoliation is essential for helping the skin to function correctly. As well as bringing back your glow, exfoliation will also improve your skin texture, reduce lumps/bumps on the skin, make your makeup go on smoother, reduce the appearance of fine lines and make the rest of your products work better.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Brighten those eyes! Your eyes are the windows to the soul and if we want glowing skin, we need to have bright, sparkly eyes too. The eyes are the most delicate part of the face, it is the thinnest part and does need to be treated carefully with specific products for the eye contour area. Don't rub or pull the eye area when removing eye makeup and apply eye cream before your moisturizing cream with your ring finger by tapping gently.

Book your festive facial! If you have the time, I would really recommend you to book for a bespoke face treatment on the lead up to Christmas as well as doing the things I have mentioned above. In a bespoke treatment, I can create something that is specific for you and your skin to help give you your best glowing skin in time for Christmas.
